i originally trusted the story of this 19 year-old private being rescued from an iraqi hospital. i doubted the motives that were making it headline news, though. even if it were true, it fucking smelled of exploitation. many soldiers were captured and probably rescued, but none was made bigger than this 19 year-old girl's name.
"The whole thing lasted about four hours," Raazk said. "When they left, they turned to us and said `Thank you.' That was it."
