it's only a small step (and it's not legalization; yet) but it has two very cool and immediate results:
1. the very first (and toughest) brick is actually taking itself down on a non-issue to most canadians.
they started talking about it two years ago, but talk is cheap (even if it was incredibly gutsy of the government). this is a great day indeed. Chrétien has grown some major balls since declaring this was his last term as Prime Minister of the country.
2. haha! and it will piss off (mark my words) the U.S. government who've been breathing down our necks ever since the first thought occured to us to decriminalize the damn thing.
