Joshua Marston, 2004
9.5
a harrowing tale, masterfully told by writer-director Joshua Marston. he's one hell of a filmmaker, and i'll definitely be watching out for him. he steals such subtle and effective moments from his actors, it's amazing to watch. and it's not hard-hitting moments peppered from time to time. no. the film's got such a natural feel to it that you feel like you're watching this girl's life. although every actor seems to have been perfectly cast for their characters (seriously), Catalina Sandino Moreno and Orlando Tobon are the two standouts, both giving exquisite performances. this movie was such a pleasure to watch.
